Akido Labs
Turning a Bold Healthcare Vision into a $60M Raise
Akido Labs is a Los Angeles–based startup reimagining the future of healthcare through Scope AI, a proprietary technology designed to perform the cognitive work of physicians, from diagnosis and treatment to ongoing care management. Akido has also built Akido Care, their own healthcare system, to test, refine, and deliver these innovations in real-world settings. The result is a vertically integrated vision for care — one that expands capacity, reduces costs, and brings personalized medicine to more people, faster.
OVERVIEW
A fundraising pitch for their Series B.
Akido Labs came to Creative Blue through a referral from the former CEO of Notable Labs, a longtime client we had supported through multiple fundraising rounds and various communication and design needs. As Akido prepared for their own Series B, the team knew their pitch needed sharpening. The story they were telling didn’t yet reflect the full scope of their innovation — or the scale of the opportunity ahead.

OBJECTIVES
Create a Series B investor pitch that brought clarity to a complex but strong strategy
Akido Labs was preparing to raise their Series B and needed a pitch that could convey the scale of their ambition. With a new focus on a specific application of their AI technology — one with the potential to push them from profitable startup to unicorn territory — the team recognized that their existing pitch didn’t fully reflect the depth or urgency of the opportunity.
They were entering a crowded space, where hype around AI and healthtech was at an all-time high. The challenge was to strike the right balance: conveying technical credibility, real traction, and an executable vision, all without overwhelming or alienating potential investors. Complicating matters further, their target investor pool included audiences with widely varying levels of familiarity with healthcare and artificial intelligence.
Akido came to Creative Blue looking for clarity, cohesion, and confidence — a pitch that could simplify complexity without losing nuance, and leave investors energized by the scale of what was possible.
SERVICES
Starting with the development of a core story
to clarify their momentum and long-term vision before crafting a designed investor deck.
-
We started with Discovery, reviewing Akido’s digital footprint and internal materials to conduct a brand audit. This helped surface early opportunities — not only in refining brand positioning, but in reinforcing credibility through traction. We followed the audit with focused working sessions alongside the CEO, CTO, and a trusted advisor (a past Creative Blue client) to dig into key elements of their business model, technology, and roadmap.
-
Through this work, we uncovered several high-value story threads — particularly recent and upcoming milestones that demonstrated both clinical validation and market demand. These "wins" gave us proof points to anchor their pitch and helped shift the narrative from emerging potential to real-world impact.
Just as importantly, we identified that the pitch needed to deliver a series of fast, intuitive "aha" moments — layered in a way that built trust and understanding without getting lost in technical complexity. Our goal was to guide investors through a journey of compounding clarity, where each insight unlocked the next.
-
We shaped the narrative, structured the story, and designed visuals that helped communicate both the opportunity and the edge, giving the Akido team a deck that felt tight, confident, and true to what made their company different. We ensured that there was adequate rehearsal time to coach them through presenting. More than a hand-off of a deck, we wanted the team to feel confident delivering the pitch live.

RESULTS
Akido Labs successfully closed their $60M Series B.
This was a milestone that marked a major step forward in scaling their platform and care delivery model. The pitch played a key role in helping the team communicate both the substance and ambition of their work in a way that resonated across a range of investors.
The deck struck the right balance between clarity and depth: it delivered a compelling narrative up front, while offering clear invitations for follow-up through deeper dives and data room access. Internally, the process brought renewed alignment to how Akido talks about its core story — not just in the context of fundraising, but across their digital footprint, press, employee hiring, and strategic partnerships.
We just raised $60 million to build an AI-powered healthcare system. We’re thrilled to partner with all who aligned with our mission [to make] exceptional healthcare universal.
