From a fundraising pitch for their debut fund to much more
We began working with Managing Partner Peter Boyce II at the very beginning of Stellation’s journey, as he prepared to raise Fund I. What started as a focused engagement around messaging and pitch development quickly grew into a long-term partnership. From initial brand work to storytelling for a $40M Fund I and $50M Fund II — and eventually a full brand refresh and new website — our work with Stellation reflects how Creative Blue supports clients through multiple chapters of growth.

Build a founder-focused brand and story that leans into community
When Peter Boyce II set out to launch Stellation Capital, he wasn’t just starting a new fund — he was formalizing a reputation and philosophy he had already been quietly building. As a solo GP with deep roots in early-stage ventures and a network of founders who saw him as their first call, Peter wanted to create a brand and story that felt both familiar and elevated: a continuation of what he had been doing, but with more clarity, more conviction, and a broader platform.
What made Peter’s vision unique was his refusal to rely solely on the reputation of the well-known VC firm he came from. While that experience added credibility, he was more interested in capturing what had made his approach resonate all along: deep community ties, long-term support, and a founder-first lens that wasn’t transactional. The message needed to reflect not just what he’d done — but how and why he’d done it.
For Fund I, our focus was on building an initial narrative and pitch that could capture that nuance, paired with lightweight branding that could get him to the starting line. As the firm evolved and Fund II approached, the story needed to deepen — supported by data, case studies, and clear proof points around the unique access, traction, and momentum Peter had created.
At that point, the visual brand also needed to evolve — from scrappy and serviceable to something more polished and intentional. The goal was to create an identity and website that matched the sophistication of the pitch while staying rooted in Peter’s original vision: a constellation of bold founders, investors, and growth partners brought together through trust, care, and long-term belief.

Even with a pre-existing relationship, we followed the same foundational approach we bring to all of our work. We began each phase with Discovery — combining stakeholder conversations with independent research to understand where Stellation was, what challenges or opportunities they were navigating, and where they wanted to go next.

From there, we moved into Development: mapping out strategic concepts and directions through the lens of storytelling, and shaping a narrative that aligned with Peter’s vision and voice.
Our work together has included the development of Stellation’s initial visual identity, Fund I and Fund II pitch decks, and — most recently — a full brand refresh, which included a new logo, refined visual identity, branded templates, and a redesigned website. We've continued to stay involved, supporting new initiatives and ongoing updates as the firm grows.

Some of our best breakthroughs came from moments of “creative play” — collaborative working sessions where we could deliver ideas live, get immediate feedback, and let creativity guide the process. Those conversations often opened up new avenues, whether it was refining a message or surfacing an unexpected angle for a pitch or brand element. In a world where calendars are packed and decisions are fast-paced, carving out space to be curious, iterative, and inspired made all the difference.

Since the refresh, Stellation has seen a noticeable lift in their digital footprint and now has a consistent, founder-facing brand presence that reflects how the firm shows up — not just as capital, but as a trusted, long-term partner in the community they’ve helped grow. Peter has brought Creative Blue into that community as well, never hesitating to make introductions to VCs and Startups that are looking for help with their own strategic storytelling.
