OVERVIEW
Re-energizing a mission-driven brand
With a decades‑long track record of impact, Summer Search had a strong mission and an active community, but their branding and digital presence hadn’t kept up with the organization’s evolution. Their messaging felt fragmented. Their site no longer reflected the sophistication and scale of their work. And their digital footprint, from social media to partner communications, needed consistency, energy, and strategic lift.
After their internal efforts had stalled, Summer Search approached Creative Blue with a clear request: Not a full rebrand. No reinvention. They wanted to refresh their brand identity that reflected who they are today, while at the same time honoring their legacy and the core of the brand that was already built.

Rebuild their website into a modern, user‑friendly, conversion‑focused experience that aligned with the new message and mission.
Create a scalable content system, including social templates, messaging pillars, and storytelling frameworks their team could sustain long‑term.

Through our discovery process, we listened and worked to identify the core challenges for the brand. The organization had powerful programs and a strong mission, but lacked the cohesion to bring it together in their brand. Messaging varied across teams and departments, making it challenging for audiences to connect, understand their value, and act to create change through donation or participation. Their digital presence was functional, but lacked cohesion and consistency.
What emerged from our discovery was a clear opportunity — hone and amplify the heart of Summer Search’s brand story that could resonate with all audiences and be communicated clearly across the entire organization, both verbally and visually. We identified the need to align their visual identity, sharpen their language, and build a messaging platform that could communicate across multiple channels while staying true to their core mission.

We crafted a cohesive brand story that honored the organization’s legacy while positioning it for future growth. The newly designed website became a user-friendly hub for storytelling and engagement. We translated the 2024 Alumni Survey into a powerful visual infographic that now supports donor communications and outreach. In addition, we built a scalable social media system that empowers internal teams to share meaningful content with consistency and strategy.

The success of the initial engagement led Summer Search to re-engage Creative Blue for ongoing creative work, including updated campaigns, new visual assets, additional social content development, and continued brand evolution.
